Between Dec. 18 and 24, when you purchase a gift at Reston Town Center, you will actually be giving two presents—if you have it wrapped by the Kids R First gift-wrapping volunteers stationed at The Hyatt Regency Reston.

The money raised by Kids R First’s annual holiday wrapping service goes to the nonprofit group’s programs. This school year, Kids R First donated supplies to 15,000 students from families in need at 85 schools in Northern Virginia. And through its College & Career Bound Program, it provided mini-scholarships for students at 19 high schools.

Kids R First gift-wrapping “elves” will be located in the hallway coming off the Market Street entrance of the Hyatt Regency Reston. The fee for wrapping gifts, purchased at Reston Town Center or elsewhere, is $3 and up (more for gifts larger than a breadbox). Gifts may be dropped off for pick-up later. Gift-wrapping hours are:

  • Friday, Dec. 18, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 29, 10-8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 20, noon-5 p.m.
  • Monday, Dec. 21, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 22, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 23, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
